Perplexed on what to wear this Summer?

Rejoice and worry no more!

Fashion authorities Kat Cruz-Villanueva and Heart Evangelista can help!

Fashionistas all over the world have this elaborate dream of stepping into their own walk in closet and meeting with their sartorial confidante/fashion bestie to say “yay” or “nay” to a hundred and one gorgeous outfits until they find the perfect #OOTD to launch a thousand hearts and gushy comments on Instagram.

That’s basically the life of stylist to the stars Kat Cruz-Villanueva and fashion icon Heart Evangelista-Escudero. And, soon, yours, too!  This summer, put an end to your endless wardrobe envy and literally shop in a closet beautifully curated by these fashion girls and style authorities.

Starting April 12 to 15, Alabang Town Center’s (ATC) activity center takes a fashion turn and gets transformed into fashion wonderland teeming with apparel, shoes, and accessories from all the best brands like: DKNY, Anne Klein, Rustan’s Ladies Apparel, Mango, He By Mango, Marks & Spencer, Naturalizer, Hush Puppies, Sebago, Florsheim, Urbanize, Vionic, World Balance, Aojo, Mujosh, Sunglass Haven, Vision Express, Apple & Eve, Bench, Royal Gem, Metro, Florsheim, Collezione C2, Plains & Prints, Folded & Hung, Kamiseta, Maldita, Great Kids, Jockey, and Vise Versa.

“As a celebrity stylist, I believe my job is to work with my client’s own style, not to create clones of myself. I am here to help polish and make their style work according to their personality, lifestyle, and image,” Kat says.

This is why Kat worked meticulously to curate this year’s ATC Stylist Closet featuring the trends – Denim, Brights, Utilitarian, Checkered and Prints. You can find pieces that not only complement your personality but will take your personal style a notch higher.

What to wear on the beach and in the city to still look très chic in the sweltering heat? “A failsafe tip to look chic on the beach is to use “city” pieces as cover ups, like a light blazer or a crisp white shirt. For summer in the city, a fancy skirt topped with a light-weight t-shirt for casual days or a soft shirt for days when you need to be more dressed up.

Kat’s absolute fave trend from this collection is mixed prints. Pair a bright floral top with striped loose pants; put on a fancy pair of sparkly embellished wedge sandals; wear your cool micro sunglasses; finish the look with chandelier earrings; and you’re ready for the summer!

“There are a myriad ways to keep shopping and fashion more exciting and collaborative for our shoppers and partnering with Kat and Heart for this collection is definitely one of them. These girls know fashion,” says Christine Enriquez-Yabao, Marketing Manager of Alabang Town Center.

If there’s one fashion “rule” this veteran stylist to the stars could give to everyone, it’s to “always create visual proportion and balance the dressing up.” This top fashion rule has given birth to countless scene-stealing looks that fit the multifaceted and effortless stylish actress, artist, designer, and entrepreneur, Heart Evangelista, like a supple lambskin glove. (Case in point: Paris Fashion Week.)

“Heart’s personal style is classic peppered with eclectic. Dressing her up for everything from the SONA red carpet to Paris Fashion Week, down to her fairy-tale wedding is fun and nerve-racking at the same time,” Kat says.

How is Heart’s style in contrast with Kat’s own? “I’d say we’re simultaneously on the same and opposite side of the spectrum in terms of style and fashion. And that’s what makes our relationship really awesome! It’s never boring!” Kat enthuses.
