Learn from the makeup industry's best, at CAVA

The Center for Aesthetics and Visual Arts (CAVA) provides top quality education when it comes to mastering the aesthetics and visual arts, particularly make-up artistry in the Philippines today.

As you all know, learning is a constant process in any profession as advancement never ceases. It should not stop the moment you graduate and get a job. And in your journey to excellence, you must continue discovering new skills and techniques and keep track of the latest innovations.

The learning hub for both up-and-coming artists as well as established names in the industry, CAVA offers unique courses that cover a wide variety of fields including conventional make-up, airbrush, and multimedia make-up with highly-trained and esteemed specialists as mentors.

CAVA students will receive the best aesthetic education from the industry’s experts including international airbrush specialist Hazel Gonzales.

Hazel Gonzales brings to CAVA her passion for the aesthetics. She started as a makeup artist and beauty consultant for Estee Lauder, an international brand of prestige skin care and makeup products. She then graduated at the Center of Aesthetics Studies, got an Airbrush Specialist certification under Temptu Pro and finished a Master Class in High Definition Airbrush Makeup under Vida Inc. both in Sydney and in Hollywood.

Hazel’s love and dedication to her craft was recognized and she became the first prestige member at United Makeup Artists of the Philippines (UMAP), one of the most respected make-up organizations in the country.

Similarly, all CAVA mentors carry their own share of laurels bringing world-class education to each classroom. They have earned their makeup artistry degree from schools like the
Australian College of Hair Design and Beauty, London School of Make-up, Maquillage Professional School of Makeup Artistry, New York Make-up Designory and Tony Galvez School of Cosmetics in Manila; and received training from renowned experts such as Gregory Arlt and Caitlin Callahan. They are also advocates of beauty in different forms and innovators of makeup techniques.

With the guidance of such exemplary mentors, CAVA currently offers the following courses:

  •  Fundamental of Beauty Makeup which deals with the basics of beauty make-up
  •  Advanced Beauty Makeup that consists of more intricate topics on beauty and make-up such as Print Photography, Speed & Precision Make-up for Fashion Shows, Period Makeup, and Introduction to SFX & Character Make-up.
The courses have a total of 40 and 50 clock hours, respectively.

Each course is specifically designed with a perfect balance and combination of lecture, demonstration, and hands-on activities to let students gain complete experience of the applications discussed. Assignments and lab sessions are also given to help students hone the skills they have acquired after each class.

Moreover, CAVA has partnered with international cosmetics brands such as Laura Mercier and MAC, and with Digital Traincase for the RCMA and Viseart line of products, allowing students to explore the latest make-up trends and innovations.

Let CAVA teach you how to bring out your most artistic self.
